When I first ran home to AOII, I never thought that three years later I would be standing before this chapter as Chapter President. Looking back at who I was as a new member to now, I have grown so much as a women, mentor, friend, sister and scholar. This growth and maturity would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the amazing sisters who inspired me to move out of my comfort zone, grow in my potential, and always strive to be the best version of myself. Since I ran home on bid day, I have served as FSL Event Chair, Keeper of the Ritual and Assistant Social Chair and was voted Freshman of the Year and Most Dependable sister. I cannot imagine my life if I were not a sister of AOII and I don’t know where I would be without the experiences and opportunities AOII has given me.
A characteristic that distinguishes our chapter from the rest is our diversity. Every member of our chapter is incredible in their own unique way, and together we create the family that is Delta Rho. Each of our sisters is involved in an organization on campus outside of AOII and many of these women hold leadership positions in AOII and other organizations. The women in Delta Rho have a fiery passion for community service and Inspiring Ambition, which is AOII’s new motto as of Leadership Convention in 2017. We strive every day not only to make the DePaul University community a better place, but the society we live in a better place as well. I am proud to be a sister of Delta Rho chapter, and I hope you enjoy learning about our sisterhood, philanthropy and values through our website!
